BOOK FEAST 2010
Had the most amazing Book Feast ever this year with hundreds of little dynamos cheering the authors and illustrators who attended. Convener, Michael Fraser, gave each author/illustrator a creative 'nickname' as they stood in the doorway to the auditorium to be introduced to the kids. Mine was "Dawn Dragon Breath Meredith"!!! Over 40 authors and illustrators sat with groups of kids from various Sydney schools.There were wonderful, entertaining talks by authors, which had the kids rolling on the floor with laughter. A delicious lunch was served. Kids could buy books at the bookshop and wander around to each author for their autograph. A great day was had by all! I look forward to next year's event!
